The aim of the politics of Bengal will be Secularism

Mohammad Ghori Shah

"When the troubled communities become fragmented in politics, they lose importance; on the other hand, unified politics make them successful - they become power divisions."

Recently, former Supreme Court Justice Markande Cartouzou has expressed the opinion that the sarcastic remarks of BJP leaders are spreading communalism in West Bengal. It is true that in this communal polarization the power in the state can change. But it may not be possible if the other is united.

In democratic politics, the identification of people on the basis of special purpose, namely religion, caste or ethnic group is not considered. But when some people have similar problems in terms of financial, social, education and health, what is wrong with mentioning the name of religion in the discussion of their problem if their development is the same and if they are similar in religion or community? Such is the nature of the political dynamics of such a population, who, on the basis of their minority and adherents of Islam in a religious way, whose overall development in post-independence India is less than that of others, is very much in need of discussion today.

Basic Problems of the Muslim People of Bengal: -

In the distant past, when India's society was subjected to intense racism, a section of the oppressed people started converting to relieve discrimination. The extent to which they change their position to escape exploitation, deprivation, oppression and injustice, even today, does not seem to have reached their desired goal. The enormous treachery tells the people by the time-table that they are moving intact. So, I see, the businessman is a non-Muslim Muslim, the doctor is a non-Muslim patient, the teacher is a non-Muslim student, the owner of the factory is a non-Muslim worker, the leader is a non-Muslim supporter. That is, the proportion of participation and benefit in every part of the state in terms of population has remained that of deprivation. Occasionally, the discourse of various devotees was revealed as a deprivation of Muslims in West Bengal. Earlier this year, in a report published by the Association Snap Guidance Guild and the Pratichi Institute, 'The reality of the life of Muslims in West Bengal', Amartya Sen, the famous Nobel laureate economist, said that the extent to which Bengali Muslims have to endure is only too much to read. The Sachar Committee reports that Muslims of West Bengal are financially sound Has revealed that the situation is a very worrying picture, Majka. The discrimination adopted by Muslims has been largely observed by the governments of the post-independence period. That is, the public or private employment and trade sectors are becoming increasingly Muslim.

Muslim political thinking and leadership: -

In Bengal, the political consciousness of the Muslim population was a lot of pre-eminent events. From the time of the British occupation of the year, there was discontent among the Muslim people. The reason was that most of the people who were ruling as patriarchs in different parts of India. The dissatisfaction of the foreign British led to the development of Muslim political consciousness in India, the influence of which goes to millions in Bengal as well.

However, the zamindar and the scholar Olemah Gon were the central leadership of the discontent. In this context, the name of the anti-British movement organized in favour of religious conscience, Wahabi Farazi, can be mentioned. However, in the aftermath of independence, the trend of Muslim politics in West Bengal did not change at all. Due to religious reasons, the general population of the Muslim people is dependent on the Muslim Ulema. They did not find a precise path, even though they were directed This is the spirit of bahumukhitara dharmagosthira bahumukhitaara the leadership from consciousness.

Attitudes towards Muslim People in Political Parties: -

Therefore, the Muslim population of West Bengal could not turn into a pressing political party with a larger goal. We have seen the same issue being organized in different ways. And, using this trend, political parties have repeatedly crossed their electoral rolls. As a result, the political party forgets the Muslim population after gaining power. The ruling party does not feel any pressure for their development.

Role and numerology in democracy : -

'Democracy' is a matter of great importance in the chapter of political science. While the application of ineffective voting is considered the latest ingredient in its success, it also alleges that the political party did not keep its promise to win the vote. The relationship of development with it is as much, if not more so.

The number of voters present in West Bengal, which if two-thirds of them can be thought of for the same purpose, is capable of controlling the fate of any political party. Examples of which are the results of the last Assembly elections in West Bengal. Analyzing the results of past elections, it has been seen that the parties that support a certain percentage of voters have been ruling. This fixed percentage is very small compared to the total number of voters, but the majority of people who belong to the same group are in the minority. Many people call this division of power.

But with the rise of religious religion, the political equation is changing. Contrary to the fierce religious politics of the BJP, non-religious political consciousness is also expanding. Muslim society is no exception to this. There is also the development of community-based political consciousness, but somewhere in the aura of the obvious. But many Muslims who believe in secular politics are living outside this system. As a result, the Muslim population is losing its divisive character in the elections. Not only that, due to the versatility of Muslim politics, the BJP has also won in the majority of Muslim assembly seats in the last assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Although it is a matter of civil rights whether to support a party or to do politics, it is clear today that the divide between the clans is very bad for the tribe.

Nevertheless, it is desirable to remember that time of history, when the Muslim people of India were fighting hard against British power, at that time many people of the non-Muslim people accepted the British power and came close and took the title of King, Raj Bahadur and Sir. Was. These trends have not been criticized in any way, but are thought to be a renaissance. So there is a need for Muslims in West Bengal to look at these latest movements.

The current situation is more critical. Many believe that the constitutional features of India are threatened with intense religious politics. Religious radical politics around the country are constantly narrowing the civil rights of people of different religions, especially minority Muslims.

Explanation: -

To cope with such a situation, the expansion of a religious fundamentalist politics is not worthwhile. And this effort is going on at some level in the Muslim community in West Bengal. It would not be an exaggeration to say that it is contrary to the tradition of Muslim politics here. But it is necessary to calculate how much profit it will bring. In West Bengal, 20 to 20 per cent of the total voter turnout is said to be Muslim vote, the majority of which is known as the 'victory index vote'. In that vote, if a political party formed in the Muslim spirit divides, then the path of another religious political party will be paved. Which needs to be heartfelt.

Moreover, people are raising their voice against radical religious groups from different levels. Various secular political parties are also trying to fight from the front. In fact, in order to save the country from religious aggression, Muslims in West Bengal need to join that struggle.
