Inthe Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the construction of the Ram Temple on the disputed land. A unanimous bench of five members, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gagai, passed the verdict on Saturday.
The court ruled that the original disputed land would be 'Ram Janmabhoomi Nass'. There is no barrier to building a temple in that land. However, the Supreme Court directs the central government to establish a trust within three months. The disputed mainland will be under the supervision of the trust. The trust will also plan the manner in which the temple will be built. On the other hand, the Sunni Waqf Board for the mosque has been instructed to give alternative 5 acres of land and the government has been asked to settle the land in important places.
Reacting to the Supreme Court verdict, Kamal Farooqui on behalf of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board said, “We are not given any benefit in return for that acre. We have already occupied 5 acres of land, so what are we giving? We are being given 5 acres after taking 5 acres of land. How is it fair? '
Zafariab Jilani, a lawyer for the Sunni Waqf Board at the press conference
Zafariab Jilani, a lawyer for the Sunni Waqf Board, said: “We respect the verdict. But we are not satisfied with it. We will think about the next step. ”But they also made it clear that they would not protest or protest.
On the other hand, lawyer of Hindu Mahasabha Varun Kumar Singh said, “This is a historic verdict. Through this verdict, the Supreme Court has given a message of unity in diversity. '
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said he welcomed the Supreme Court verdict. The case has been going on for decades. It has been a fair settlement so far. Then the government will do whatever it takes. This verdict should not be viewed as a win-win. I appeal to maintain peace and order in the country.
West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh MP said, “I welcome this verdict. We are happy To us it is a moment of pride. The construction of the Ram Temple will begin the glorious journey of India. '
Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani of Darul Uloom Deoband said the Supreme Court's ruling on the Babri mosque was "very surprising". He said the case was about disputed land ownership and the court did not specify who owns the land. Maulana Nomani called upon the Muslims of the country to maintain peace, saying that peace in any situation is the biggest need. Muslims should not do such things, which creates controversy and any wrongdoing is taken in a provocation.
Barrister Asaduddin YC MP
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslim chief barrister Asaduddin YC MP has expressed his anger against the Congress, saying, “Congress has shown its true color. If Congress did not commit fraud and hypocrisy, there would not have been idols in that area. If the lock was not opened by Rajiv Gandhi at that time (the mosque) and Narsimha Rao performed his duty, the mosque would still be in dispute. ”
"We do not need to buy five acres of land," YC said. There is no need for any of us to beg. Their decision is what the Muslim Personal Law Board will decide. India's Muslims have not had such a bad day that they have to take land of charity. My personal opinion is that we should reject the five-acre proposal. We should have a legal battle. '
He said that those who broke the Babri mosque, the court is telling them today to build the temple by trust! What would have been the decision if the mosque had been there and had not been martyred? I do not know.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has said, "In keeping with the Supreme Court's ruling, we have to maintain harmony among ourselves. It is a time of friendship, love and brotherhood among all Indians. '
Congress spokesperson Randeep Suryawala said the Congress party welcomed the Supreme Court verdict. The Congress party is in favor of building a Ram temple fast. The Supreme Court's ruling opened the way for the construction of the temple on the one hand, and on the other, the road to politics for the BJP was closed.
Diwan Syed Zainul Abedin of Azmi Sharif Dargah said, "The Supreme Court's decision is not a victory or defeat for anyone." We should take that decision from the Supreme Court. What has happened is of national interest and we should end the year-long conflict.
