The Personal Law Board will apply for a review of the judgment

The Supreme Court of India recently ruled in favor of construction of a Hindu temple in the Babri Masjid-Ramjanbhoomi dispute case in Ayodhya. The court has directed the government to give five acres of land elsewhere for the construction of the mosque. Since then, this has led to intense anger and intense discontent among the Muslims. Regarding the decision of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Zafariab Jilani, the secretary of the board, told reporters that the five acres of land given for the construction of the mosque was in no way acceptable. According to Sharia it is not possible for mosques to be given by anyone else. Zafariab Jilani said, "We need the land we fought for." It is against the Shariah to take the land elsewhere for the mosque. The land of the mosque cannot be transferred.
