Baitul Muqaddas is the red line of the world's Muslims: Turkish President
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Baitul Muqaddas (Jerusalem) is the red line of Muslims around the world. He said this in a message on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr last night (Sunday night).
Erdogan said that Turkey will never accept the policy and plan of handing over the Palestinian territories to others and I would like to say again that Baitul Muqaddas is the red line of the Muslims of the world.
He added that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory violates Palestinian rights and disregards international law. Speaking about the plight of Muslims in the West, Erdogan said, "Our Muslim brothers have to deal with issues like racial hatred and Islamophobia in the West on a daily basis."
The Turkish president said the coronavirus had proved that no particular country or region in the world was different.
He was referring to Israeli plans to declare Israel's sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.
Last January, US President Donald Trump introduced the anti-Palestinian conspiracy 'Deal of the Century'. Under this, he declared the Holy City, or Jerusalem, as the undivided capital of occupied Israel. He also proposed recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the West Bank.
Indeed, Jerusalem is deeply involved with the religious consciousness of Muslims. Without free Jerusalem, the total freedom of Muslims is worthless. But Muslims are trapped in narrow politics and do not realize it.
