President Hasan Rouhani's Chief of Staff Mahmood Waizi reports that Iran's positive change to take place with Saudi Arabia. He said that regional countries like Saudi Arabia have now realized that there is no alternative to regional cooperation for peace and security in the Middle East.
In an interview to the Daily Etemad, published by Tehran, Mahmood Waizi mentioned the Tehran-Riyadh relationship, saying that in the past, Iran's relations with Saudi Arabia were close. But the relationship has been damaged by the provocative behavior of the US government.
But now Saudi Arabia, as well as other Arab countries, have come to realize this principle of American divisiveness. Iran's president's office chief Weizi said regional countries have realized that if peace and security is to be established in the Middle East, disagreements and conflicts must be avoided, and Iran has long understood that.
Iran's neighboring Arab countries are going to change their policies on measures to create US divisions, said Mahmoud Waizi. He said that some other countries, including Saudi Arabia, have shown interest in negotiating with Iran on security in the Middle East, so the US provocative policy on the region will fail.
The top Iranian official said his country had given a green signal to all regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, to hold talks. Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif said in a formal letter to all countries that the only way to establish peace and stability in the Middle East is to reduce tensions and strengthen mutual cooperation.
According to analysts, the importance of the Middle East in world politics can be greatly enhanced by close regional cooperation. Western states continue to exploit the Muslim world by provoking ethnic divisions among the Middle Eastern states.
